Subjugation is a tactic that, while not having lost its usefulness, has lost its charm. Forceful cultural assimilation will solve half the world's problems.

The character I admire most in the Fountainhead is Gail Wynand. The character I most admire in Atlas Shrugged is Midas Mulligan. They weren't the heroes in their respective works of fiction, but they were pivotal in the shaping of their world.

Whenever I see a person seek to emulate Howard Roark, I laugh. A hopeful John Galt - the same reaction. The world doesn't need the Roarks and the Galts as much as it needs the Wynands, the Faulkners, and the Mulligans - one type attempts to live despite (or perhaps inspite of) the world, whereas the other makes living in the world a possibility.

I yet live! Financial gain diverted me away from this slight distraction.

I will spend time reading, and then pass final judgment on the worth of keeping this distraction. Some new Judgements:

Kenshi: Some rather irrelevant posts amongst some very insightful posts. My opinion of this one is divided.

Ishalltriumph: Too much "Objectivism" not enough individual. Too much slop as well.

DeltaProximus: pathetic recent entries. This one's existence is confirmed, but why does he care about his stupid little diversions, such as this "Vampire" game.

Rinku: ???

Miyu_Sakura: I sincerely hope this one does not believe Rinku will save the world. That is a task for me, and the world will be saved under my whip over it!

If you have stumbled here, and have no idea who Bjorn Faulkner, then you have made an error for which there is no redemption. You have allowed me to steal your time, and for that you deserve whatever ill happenings occur to you because of your wasted time. If you have stumbled here, and know who Bjorn Faulkner is, then the result of your time spent here is entirely in your hands. If you have come here by no accident, then your time here will only serve you. If you believe that my name is truly Bjorn Faulkner, then your entire existence to this point has been unproductive.

This journal will not be updated frequently. I have created this on the behest of my friend. He has convinced me that the people I may meet on livejournal will be valuable people. If this is not the case, I will abandon this journal and promptly delete it. On the occasions that I update, it will be meaningful.

On the reccomendation of my friend, I have added the following people to my "friend's" list. I will also provide my initial evaluation of each of these people.

Rinku - I choose to start with the most insane. Why my friend sees value in this one is beyond me. As per my agreement, however, I will read his journal for some time. Perhaps there is a spec of value in his psychosis, but that remains to be seen.

Miyu_sakura - I don't get this one at all. I don't get my friend's apparent attraction to this one either, beyond the user picture.

Deltaproximus - This one lacks substance. Nothing presented allows me to make any real judgment. Is this one even real?

Ishalltriumph - This one is ambitious, knowledgeable. I suspect this one is pandering to an audience, however. I may find value in this one.

Kenshi - Easily the most valuable one my friend has reccomended to me, but not exactly of the type of value I was hoping to find. This one is a faunt of wisdom, to be sure, and a fascinating read, but one who seems to have found what he sought out of his life.
